The Final Countdown
One, I completely forgot this existed! I thought I deleted it, but I guess nothing is ever really dead on Google ;-).
I'm certain many people have used this title in reference to their last days in a role, so I won't pretend I'm unique. For those who are not aware, I'm seven days away from my final day as a staff member in the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities at Florida State University. My entire experience in Tallahassee has been grounded by the experiences I've had with this office and the greater Dean of Students Department.
August 17, 2008. My first day in Tallahassee and my first day as a graduate assistant for the office.
May 3, 2010. My first day as a full-time professional for the office.
June 5, 2015. My first day as director for the office.
June 7, 2018. My last day as a staff member for the office.
There is so much to consider regarding the breadth of my experiences and what I'd like to highlight. I hope this brief post will be the impetus for several posts about the people of SRR, the professional experiences gained through my roles in SRR, and the students of SRR.
